CNN has this article about an attempted hi-jacking in Saudi Arabia.
The airline issued a statement saying a would-be hijacker carrying a pistol was arrested by security agents onboard the aircraft 20 minutes into the flight.
...Ab-Bakar said the suspects -- one of whom is a Saudi citizen, another of unknown nationality -- were in Sudanese custody.
Something tells me there's a lot more going on here and we're not going to get the true low down for a little while.
UPDATE: MSNBC has a few more
details:
...The Saudi statement gave no motive for the hijack attempt. It said the plane would leave for Saudi Arabia as soon as Sudanese authorities gave permission.
...Earlier, Egypt’s Middle East New Agency (Mena) quoted Sudanese sources as saying three Saudi hijackers were involved and that there were apparently some passengers hurt.
Whatever the real story is here, I betcha it's gonna be veddy intalesting.
