The right wing blogosphere has been following the Oil for Food scandal in detail for almost a couple years despite the almost willful lack of attention given to it by the mainstream press.  

Hopefully this will change things -

American prosecutors are preparing charges against Benon Sevan, the former head of the United Nations oil for food programme, who has been accused of accepting millions of dollars in kickbacks from Saddam Hussein's regime.

Few things will pierce the veil of well intentioned holiness around the UN than a good old fashioned, $11 Billion money scandal.   Alas, I fear that even direct, utterly culpable, large scale abuse like this will still fail to sully the the UN's rep even remotely as bad as the comparatively benign links between Bush & Enron.
