Blogging's been low of date for a couple reasons.    I'm currently in Holland on a biz trip and thought I'd relay a short, front-page article from today's The Amsterdam Times -

Young Terrorist Planned Attacks on Dutch Targets

Terrorists may have made plans to attack Schiphol Airport, the Second Chamer of Parliament, and the Borssele nuclear power plant, it was reported on Wednesday.   Police have found bluepritns of several possible targets in the home of an 18 year old man known as Samir A, who was arrested on June 30 on suspicion of plotting terrorist attacks in the country.   Police also found hydrochloric acid and fertiliser which may have been intended for use in the construction fo explosive devices...

It frankly doesn't get more peaceful, quiet, and tolerant than the Netherlands (Amsterdam being an interesting, uh, exception) but the fact that even this quaint little corner of Europe can come under threat tells us something about the menace we're dealing with.
