EXTREMELY cool little toy described in this MSNBC article:

It's basically a $600 toolkit for adding:

• USB-powered, steerable wheels
• USB-powered video camera
• control software for windows clients w/ basic obstacle recognition & steering control
• hardware harness to brace it all together

to your laptop turning it into your own little, programmable, robotic rover.   One really cool thing is that you don't have to sacrifice your laptop -- you can easily unplug it from the harness and continue using it for other purposes (uh, like work.) 

I think I smell an early Christmas present for myself from Fry's.   ;-)
