(via instapundit)  Am I the only one who sees the INCREDIBLE irony in this?

With ill-disguised disdain, Jean-Francois Bureau, a defense ministry spokesman in Paris, described the declaration as having to do more ``with pretense than substance,'' and not worthy of ``too much attention.''

France accusing someone else of flaunting style over substance?   Criticizing someone else for having too much attention on the world stage?   The Gang of 8 (and now 10) letter is going to fuel a blogging orgy for the Atlantic-focused blogs over the next few days.    I'm positively giddy.
