I've been pretty good at keeping up with my reading schedule but horrible at posting reviews. Unlike some recent books I've picked up (Moral Animal ; Post Human Future ; 21 Laws of Leadership, VDH's Carnage & Culture, etc.) and even reviewed (Sophie's World, Substance of Style) 2 recent arrivals on the docket have been quite illuminating. I put up a review / summary of Innovator's Solution in my Book Reviews. Overall, I really liked the book although it was just a notch shy of the groundbreaking nature of its predecessor. I'm also in the process of finishing up Walter Russell Mead's Special Providence. I can honestly say that by the time I'd finished just the first 2 chapters of Mead's work, I was confident that I'd name it, the single best book I've read in 2003. Whether you're a foreign national trying to make sense of American foreign policy or a domestic wonk looking for new, sharp and insightful analysis, this is the best place to start. I'm really looking forward to polishing this bad boy off and posting up a review hopefully before the start of the New Year. ![]() |
